Jomo Elg

Chief Executive Officer at ECOOKING A/S

Jomo Elg has extensive experience in the cosmetics industry. Jomo has held various executive roles in different companies over the years. From 1994 to 1999, they worked at Chanel, where they managed local markets and duty-free operations. Jomo also played a key role in turning around the Nordic business and establishing a dominant position for the brand in Russia and Central Europe.

In 1999, Elg joined LVMH and took on various roles within the Perfumes & Cosmetics Division. Jomo managed the South Korean subsidiary, overseeing brands such as Dior, Guerlain, and Kenzo. Jomo successfully executed the Asian market entry of US brand Benefit Cosmetics. Elg also served as the International Director of Travel Retail for Guerlain and Regional Director of Travel Retail for Dior, where they contributed to significant market share gains in the Travel Retail business.

In 2005, Elg became the Managing Director of the IMEDEEN Division at Ferrosan A/S, a leader in Nutri-Cosmetics. Jomo energized the product pipeline, improved commercial focus, and increased operating profits.

Following their time at Ferrosan A/S, Elg joined Bare Minerals in 2007 as the Director of Continental Europe. Jomo implemented a successful partnership with retailer Sephora, making Bare Minerals the top foundation brand with Sephora that year.

From 2008 to 2020, Elg worked at MAKE UP FOR EVER, where they held multiple roles. As the General Manager and Executive Vice-President for Asia-Pacific, they grew the business by over 50% in four years, established a genuine omnichannel distribution network, and significantly increased Travel Retail sales. Jomo also served as a Board Member for L Beauty, a JV between LVMH and LuxAsia. Elg then transitioned to the role of Director of International Business Development, responsible for managing subsidiaries in China, South Korea, Russia, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia. Under their leadership, APAC sales multiplied more than ten-fold, and MAKE UP FOR EVER became the first LVMH brand to launch on T-Mall.

Elg most recently served as the President of Asia for Revlon Inc. from 2020 to 2022. Jomo managed subsidiaries, JVs, and contract manufacturing in Asia for Revlon, Elizabeth Arden, and other brands in the One In Beauty portfolio. Jomo improved regional corporate governance and operations, resulting in a significant increase in EBITDA.

In 2023, Elg will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer at Ecooking A/S.

Jomo Elg completed their education as follows: from 1990 to 1994, they attended ESCP Business School, where they obtained a Diplôme de Grande Ecole/Diplom Kaufmann in International Business and Management. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1990, they studied at Copenhagen Business School and acquired a Bachelor's Degree in International Business Administration. Jomo began their education at Espergærde Gymnasium from 1983 to 1986, where they earned a Studentereksamen / A-levels degree with a focus on Maths & Physics.
