Alex Parris has work experience in various roles and companies. They started their career as an Office Assistant at Freedom From Religion Foundation from November 2013 to June 2014. They then joined eConsortium in September 2014 as a Support Specialist and later became an Operations Manager in June 2018. Following this, in 2022, they worked as a Social Work Intern at Reliant at Home from September 2022 to January 2023. Currently, they are working as a Social Work Intern at Emancipation Economic Development Council since January 2023.
Alex Parris has a diverse education history. They obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Houston from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, they earned a Full-Stack Web Development Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin - Center for Professional Education (CPE) in 2017 and 2018. They also have a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown, which they completed from 2013 to 2014.

Additionally, Alex obtained a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Office 365 certification from Microsoft in July 2015. They also hold certifications in Social-Behavioral-Educational Researchers from the CITI Program and Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross, both obtained in September 2022.
