Bas Kapitein serves as the Managing Director of Midpoint Brabant since January 2015, coordinating economic development initiatives and advising a diverse board of stakeholders. Concurrently, Bas is the Chairman of the program council for Onderwijsgroep Tilburg, actively engaging with regional partners in vocational education. Involvement with ENGAGE.EU as a board advisor supports the alliance of European universities aimed at equipping citizens with skills for societal challenges. As a board member of Cultuurfabriek Hall of Fame and Stichting MOED, as well as a member of Braventure's executive and general boards, Bas contributes to startup acceleration and economic development. Additional roles include serving on the board of directors for Economisch Netwerk Zuid-Nederland and advising UniPartners Tilburg. Bas previously directed programs for Regio Hart van Brabant, enhancing collaboration among municipalities. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, complemented by various professional development courses.
