Dean Baker, a senior economist at the Center for Economic and Policy Research and co-director at the Economic Policy Institute, has been actively fighting against the Zion-Kanab Frac Sand Mine near Zion National Park. Dean is currently working on a petition to stop the mine and urging Kem Gardner to withdraw their support. With a BA in history from Swarthmore College, Dean has been involved in economic policy and research for several years.
