Jen Lape is an accomplished professional in fund development and philanthropy, currently serving as the Director of Fund Development and Philanthropy at Ecology Action since April 2018. Prior experience includes a variety of leadership roles at Island Conservation from September 2006 to April 2018, where Jen held positions such as Deputy Director, Director of Board Engagement, and Director of Philanthropy, among others. Jen began a career in academia as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Coastal Marine Institute at the University of California, Santa Barbara, from March 2003 to December 2005. Jen holds an M.A. in Ecology, Evolution and Marine Biology from UC Santa Barbara and a B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
