Shani Christopher has been working in the food and sustainability industries for over a decade. In 2018, they founded RePurpose Food Co., which combines a passion for food justice with a drive for environmental stability by sourcing excess produce to create nutritious baby food for low-income communities. Shani is a graduate of Propeller Incubator's Startup Accelerator Program and 4.0 Schools Essential Fellowship, and a winner of PitchNOLA: Living Well food category pitch competition. From 2012 to 2008, Shani worked at EcoLogic Solutions, a manufacturer of green cleaning solutions for Industrial and Institutional Markets, in various roles including National Director of Sales and Operations, National Operations Manager, Eastern Regional Sales Manager, and Northeast Sales Manager. In 2010, they were the Director of the Center for Social Entrepreneurship Development at The Volunteer Center of Trinidad and Tobago, where they established a center to promote the development of Social Enterprises in Trinidad and Tobago. Additionally, they were a Co-Founder and Finance Manager of the NGO, responsible for creating organizational budgets and financial projections, and developing fundraising and sponsorship plans. In 2008, they began their career at EcoLogic Solutions as a Sustainability Associate and Office Manager.
Shani Christopher attended Cornell University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biological Engineering.
