Xi Zhang began their work experience in 2007 as a Research Assistant at RWTH Aachen University, where they worked on various projects related to wireless sensor networks and cognitive radio MAC layer applications. Xi also had teaching responsibilities, assisting with communication protocols, small embedded objects, software-defined radio, and network programming.
In 2013, Xi Zhang joined Siemens as a Research Scientist. Xi later became the Head of a Research Group, responsible for building and leading the group in a corporate environment. Xi was in charge of defining research roadmaps, managing the team, and handling the budget. Xi also drove e-Mobility standardization work within the group and successfully led the publication of the International Standard ISO 15118-8:2018.
Since 2020, Xi Zhang has been working as the Director of e-Mobility at EcoG, where they continue to contribute their expertise in the field of electric mobility.
Xi Zhang's education history shows that from 2007 to 2013, they attended RWTH Aachen University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, they studied at Imperial College London and obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 2001 and 2002, they attended Hwa Chong Junior College in Singapore, completing their A-level studies in Computing, Mathematics, and Physics.
