Ruth Wollebo started their work experience in 2017 as an Information Technology Teacher at Akaki Adventist school. Ruth then worked as a CKAN contributor at Link Digital from November 2018 to May 2019. Currently, they are working as a Technical Support Representative at ecobee since December 2019.

Ruth Wollebo completed their education at the University of Gondar from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, they obtained additional certifications, including the Ascend's Leadership Program in June 2021 and the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) from the Cisco Networking Academy in December 2019.
