Maxim Thomas Paxton has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Maxim Thomas began their career in 2010 as an English teacher, providing instruction to both children and adults and assisting with translations. Maxim Thomas also graded and prepared students for official certifications.

In 2011, Maxim started their own music production business, working as a self-employed music producer and composer. Maxim Thomas specialized in low-budget demo recordings for indie artists and provided studio assistance for higher-end productions. Maxim Thomas also assisted with band promotion and artwork.

From 2015 to 2015, Maxim worked as a studio engineer at Orange Lounge, where they assisted with audio and visual production tasks, including instrument tuning, lighting setup, and recording setup. Maxim Thomas welcomed artists to the studio and worked with notable musicians such as Metric, Dean Brody, and Of Monsters and Men.

Maxim transitioned to the software engineering field in 2017 when they joined George Brown College as a software developer. Maxim Thomas designed and co-led the development of a new initiative focused on teaching literacy to adults in Canada. Maxim Thomas worked as part of an agile team, handling data parsing, SQL database integration, and authentication using Laravel framework.

In 2019, Maxim joined HomeX as a senior software engineer, where they contributed to the development of intelligent suggestions for the front-end app. Maxim Thomas leveraged AWS DMS/S3 for data storage and utilized technologies such as Node/Express, Kafka, GraphQL, and MongoDB/Mongoose for backend development. Maxim Thomas also played a key role in building a B2B application and mentored junior developers and interns.

Maxim continued their software engineering career at Ada in 2022, serving as a senior software engineer. Maxim Thomas led efforts to enforce greater standards and improve performance in the Flask web application. Maxim Thomas also designed solutions for migrating team-owned code into a dedicated microservice and led migration projects for webhook endpoints. Maxim Thomas deployed and monitored production-ready code using various tools and assisted in quarterly planning and sprint breakdowns.

Currently, Maxim is employed as a senior software engineer at ecobee, starting in 2023. Further details regarding their role and responsibilities are not provided.

Maxim Thomas Paxton began their education in 2009 at SAE Institute UK, where they pursued a Diploma of Education in Recording Arts Technology. Maxim Thomas successfully completed the program in 2012, marking the end of their studies at SAE Institute UK.

After a brief break, Paxton resumed their educational journey in 2017 at George Brown College. Here, they enrolled in the Computer Programmer Analyst Program (T127) and worked towards an Ontario College Advanced Diploma. Paxton dedicated three years to this program, which came to an end in 2020.
