Alex Reed

Chief Administrative Officer (cao) at Eckerd Connects

Alex Reed has been with Eckerd Connects for 13 years and is currently Chief of Program Services and Strategy. As Chief of Program Services and Strategy, Alex has operational responsibility for Eckerd Connects’ 170+ direct services programs spanning workforce, juvenile justice and child welfare service segments across 14 states. Alex is also responsible for partnering with Eckerd Connects leadership and stakeholders in mapping out the organization’s strategic execution paths and then ensuring the organization is achieving its strategic milestones.

Alex was previously Chief Performance & Strategy Officer, leading the development of the organization’s Strategic Plan, heading the development of Annual Operating Plans, and ensuring the organization was achieving both its tactical and strategic performance objectives. Additionally, Alex oversaw the organization’s program data functions and innovation efforts, to include the promulgation of Eckerd Rapid Safety Feedback, Eckerd Connects’ unique coaching and data analytics approaching to improving child welfare safety now deployed in 10 states.

Alex is a former USAF Captain, serving honorably with a Top Secret SCI clearance before co-founding Sevis Systems, a mobile telecommunications equipment start-up backed by $12M in venture capital. Consistently recognized as a top academic performer, Alex won a 4-year Electrical Engineering scholarship to the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with Highest Honors, and attended London Business School as a Sloan Fellow and Philip Langsdale Scholarship recipient, earning a Masters in Leadership and Strategy with Distinction.

Results-oriented and passionate about positively impacting others, Alex believes one of a leader’s prime tasks is emotional leadership, to cultivate positive employees that embrace diverse thought and can overcome difficult challenges.
