Brett Bowan began their work experience in 1987 at Westinghouse, where they held various roles including Field Engineer, Project Engineer, Lead Project Engineer, and Director of Water and Wastewater Marketing. In 1996, they became an Independent Contractor and worked as an Automation Consultant until 2011. Brett then joined Echogen Power Systems as a Control Systems Manager in April 2011.

Brett Bowan attended Penn State University from 1983 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology.
