Nathan Landy has worked for a variety of organizations since 2003. Nathan began their career as a Summer Intern at Cognex Corporation in 2003, where they investigated software for high-speed cameras used in industrial imaging and tested the image quality and resolution of imaging software. In 2004, they worked as a Student Research Assistant at Swarthmore College in the Physics Department. In 2006, they worked as a Technician at Boston College, where they researched and simulated optical transport of metamaterials, designed a complete and accurately-scaled optical layout for Terahertz Time Domain spectroscopy system, and created analysis software for experimental and simulation data. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Ph.D. Candidate in Electrical Engineering at Duke University, where they researched, tested, and developed metamaterial devices and completed graduate-level coursework in electrical engineering. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Metamaterials Specialist at Intellectual Ventures. Finally, from 2014 to present, they have worked at Echodyne Corp, where they have held the roles of Director of Electromagnetics, Engineering Manager of Electromagnetics, and Sr. Metamaterials Scientist.
Nathan Landy obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from Duke University between 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from Swarthmore College between 2002 and 2006.
