Rana Mehdizadeh is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in health education and research. As the Founder of Beyond Bars since August 2015, Rana has created a discussion-based health education program for incarcerated youth, aimed at empowering them to make healthy choices. In addition to this initiative, Rana has served as a Special Education Tutor at EBL Coaching, developing personalized lesson plans for children with learning disabilities. Rana holds positions as Editor-in-Chief at Quill & Scope and Research Assistant at New York Medical College, contributing to medical research and academic publication efforts. Previous roles include research work at UC Berkeley School of Public Health and anatomy instruction at UC Berkeley, and various internships focused on sexual health education for underserved communities. Rana's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Queensland, a Master's Degree in Medical Sciences from New York Medical College, and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health and Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
