Mark Head is a seasoned database administrator with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as a Senior Database Administrator at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since July 2019. Prior to this role, Mark worked at BNP Paribas for over 12 years, advancing to Oracle DBA Team Leader, where expertise included Oracle 11g/12c, RAC, OEM 13c, Data Guard, RMAN, Streams, and Golden Gate. Mark’s career also includes leadership positions at M&G Investments/PGDS Ltd and J Henry Schroder, showcasing a strong background in database management and administration since the late 1990s. Educational background includes attendance at Richard Hale School from September 1980 to July 1987.
