Jane Loveland is an experienced professional in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology, currently serving as an Annotation Project Leader at the European Bioinformatics Institute since June 2017. Prior to this role, Jane held various positions at the Wellcome Trust, including Lead Instructor for Open Door Workshops from December 2002 to November 2019 and several senior roles at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute from February 2002 to May 2017, such as Principal Computer Biologist and Senior Computer Biologist Manager. Earlier career experience includes work as a Molecular Biology Computing Specialist at BBSRC Bioscience IT Services and as a Scientific Officer at Rothamsted Research and the John Innes Centre. Jane holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Lancaster University and a BSc (Hons) in Biology from Oxford Brookes University.
