Beth Flint is an experienced software and project leader in the bioinformatics field, currently serving as Ensembl Coordinator and Project Leader at the European Bioinformatics Institute since December 2018. Previously, Beth held the position of Senior Scientific Manager at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute from October 2008 to December 2018, where responsibilities included leading a software team to design and develop a bespoke Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for high-throughput DNA sequencing pipelines. Prior to that, Beth worked as a Senior Software Developer, focusing on the development and maintenance of a bespoke LIMS for next-generation sequencing and genotyping labs. Beth's early career included a role as a Software Developer and scrum master at Advantage Interactive. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UCL, earned between 2004 and 2007.
