Ardan Patwardhan is a seasoned professional in the field of bioinformatics and electron microscopy. Currently serving as Team Leader for Cellular Structure and 3D Bioimaging at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since 2011, Ardan manages the EMDB and EMPIAR archives and leads a team of scientific programmers, actively engaging with the scientific community through workshops and speaking engagements. Prior to this role, Ardan was a Project Leader in Electron Microscopy and a Lecturer in Computational Structural Biology at Imperial College London, focusing on single-particle electron microscopy and image processing techniques. Ardan's academic background includes a PhD in Confocal Microscopy and an MSc in Engineering Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
