Michael McHale has had an extensive career in the media industry. In 1994, they began their career as the Manager of New Media & Project Development at CHUMCITY, a division of CHUM Inc. Two years later, they co-founded MediaTribe Interactive Inc., an award-winning multimedia and television production company. In 2000, they became the President of Telbotics Inc., a start-up telepresence/robotics company. In 2009, they became a Partner & Co-Founder of Experience Media Group, where they managed a multi-disciplinary team. Most recently, in 2019, they became the Chief Financial Officer + Digital Privacy Officer at EatSleepRIDE Motorcycle GPS, a community, tracking, and safety app and website for motorcycle riders.

Michael McHale's education history includes a Data Privacy Fundamentals degree from Northeastern University in 2020, a B. Comm in Accounting and Finance from the University of Galway between 1977 and 1980, a High Diploma in Education from the University of Galway in 1981, a Certificate in Advanced Management 2 from the Schulich School of Business - York University since 2004, a Certificate in Capital Markets from the NYU Stern School of Business since 1992, and a Business of Television & Media from The New School since 1992. Michael also attended Colaiste Einde, Salthill, Galway between 1971 and 1977.
