Blair D S Crichton has held several positions in the finance and food industries. In 2019, they became the Co-Founder of KARANA, a company that makes meat from whole plants. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as an Intern for JRBH Strategy & Management and from 2006 to 2007, they interned for Deloitte as an Audit/Tax Intern. In 2005, they also interned for HSBC Global Banking and Markets as a Futures Desk intern.

Blair D S Crichton has a diverse educational background, starting with a Higher School Certificate from The Scots College, Sydney in 2003. Following this, they obtained a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Durham University in 2007. In 2008, they completed an MPhil in Chinese Economics and Mandarin from both Peking University and the University of Cambridge. In 2016, they earned an MBA in Clean-tech, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
