Shiao Pei (SP) Lai has extensive experience in the field of communications and marketing. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Media Relations Intern at East West Center, where they handled interviews and press releases and coordinated forums for high-ranking officials. In 2011, they joined BP as the Communications and Interactive Marketing Lead, where they built a new digital business called Carama.com for Castrol InnoVentures. Shiao Pei (SP) also worked in marketing services at Castrol. In 2013, Lai had a short assignment at the World Economic Forum as part of the Media Relations External Team for the Annual Meeting of New Champions. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at The Abraaj Group, first as an Associate in Global Corporate Communications and Digital and later as an Associate Director. In 2018, they joined J.P. Morgan Asset Management as an Internal Communications Manager, a role they held until 2021. Currently, Lai is serving as a Senior Manager of Internal Communications at Eastspring Investments.
Shiao Pei (SP) Lai began their education in 2005 at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Social Science degree in International Relations. Shiao Pei (SP) successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2009. Afterwards, Shiao Pei attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 2009 to 2011, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies. In 2018, they enrolled in the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, focusing on the Business of Fashion, although the specific degree earned is not provided.
