Deepika Saini has a diverse work experience in scientific research and development. Deepika worked at Eastman as a Principal Visions Applications Scientist, Senior Visions Applications Scientist, and Visions Applications Scientist from 2018 to the present. Prior to that, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at North Carolina State University, collaborating with Eastman Chemical Company on various projects related to mechanical/material characterization and data science. Deepika also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Savannah River National Lab, where they specialized in graphene-based membranes and nanomaterials for gas-separation applications. Deepika's early career included a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at Clemson University, where they gained expertise in micro/nano electromechanical systems, photolithography, and computational modeling. Deepika started their career as an Online Physics Instructor at Educomp Learning Hour Pvt Ltd.
Deepika Saini has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from Clemson University, which they completed from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Physics with a specialization in Electronics from Delhi University from 2006 to 2008. Deepika also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from Delhi University, completed from 2003 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Deepika has completed two certification courses in Data Science from Coursera Course Certificates, one on Introduction to Data Science in Python from the University of Michigan in December 2016, and the other on A Crash Course in Data Science from Johns Hopkins University in June 2016.
