Saad Shahid has a diverse work experience in various industries. Saad started as a Board Member and Head of Media and Publications at SPE NED Student Chapter, actively participating in its establishment and successfully publishing a quarterly newsletter and an annual magazine. Saad then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Alberta before becoming an Engineer Intern at Talahassee Resources Inc. Later, Saad joined Pakistan Petroleum Limited as an Engineer (Production), where they were responsible for well intervention jobs, workover planning, and surface well testing. After that, they worked as a Senior Production Engineer at the same company. Following their time at Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Saad worked at The University of British Columbia as an IT Support, handling AV equipment setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring hardware and software availability. Saad then joined East Side Games as a Web Developer-Coop and subsequently transitioned into a Web Developer role.
Saad Shahid's education history begins in 2007, when they enrolled at the NED University of Engineering and Technology. Saad pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering and completed their studies in 2010. Following this, from 2011 to 2013, Saad attended the University of Alberta, where they obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Saad's educational journey continued in 2019 when they started attending The University of British Columbia. Although the degree name is not provided, they pursued studies in Computer Science and is expected to complete their education in 2023.
