Gwynn Shamlin is an experienced legal and educational professional currently serving as General Counsel for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System since October 2018. Prior to this role, Gwynn held the position of Director of Communications for East Baton Rouge Parish Schools from September 2017 to October 2018. From 2013 to October 2018, Gwynn directed the I CARE Program, focusing on alcohol, drug abuse, and violence prevention in both public and non-public schools within East Baton Rouge Parish, while supervising a team of 15 Licensed Prevention Professionals. Gwynn's educational background includes a Juris Doctorate from LSU Law, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the American College of Education, and a Bachelor's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Louisiana State University.
