Lauren Grundy Byrd is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as the Human Resources Manager at East Baton Rouge Council on the Aging Inc. since June 2019. Prior to this role, Lauren worked as a Human Resources Consultant for the State of Louisiana Office of the State Examiners from October 2016 to June 2019 and as a Human Resources Staffing Assistant at SGS Petroleum Service Corporation from June 2012 to October 2016. Earlier career experience includes roles at the Office of the Governor Louisiana Commission on Human Rights as an Intake Clerk and as a Law Clerk at Southern University and A&M College System. Lauren began their professional journey as a Student Assistant at Shreveport Federal Credit Union. Educationally, Lauren holds a Master of Arts in Social Science with a focus on Political Science and History from Southern University and A&M College and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge.
