Robert (Bob) Wenzel is currently Vice President and Co-Owner at Earthtec Engineering, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Engineer at the Utah Division of Water Resources from June 2019 to March 2022. Before that, they held multiple roles at Western Technologies, including Managing Director from December 2015 to June 2019, Director of Geotechnical and Environmental Services - Salt Lake City from 2007 to 2019, and Geotechnical Engineer/Environmental Project Manager from March 2001 to January 2007. Robert (Bob) started their career as a Field Engineer at Applied Geotechnical Engineering and Consulting, working there from August 1997 to December 2000.

Robert (Bob) Wenzel began their education in 1991 at the University of Utah, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Robert (Bob) completed their undergraduate studies in 1997. Following a gap in their education, they returned to the University of Utah in 2006 to pursue a Master of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering. Robert (Bob) successfully completed their master's program in 2008.

In addition to their academic achievements, Robert has obtained various certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. These include the EPA Asbestos Inspector certification from the EPA and Utah DEQ, the Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor certification from the EPA and State of Utah, the Prestressed Concrete (PT) Special Inspector certification from the International Code Council, the Professional Engineer certification from the State of Utah, State of Oregon, State of Idaho, and State of Montana, the Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certification from the International Code Council, and the Structural Masonry Special Inspector certification from the International Code Council.
