Dan Cearnau has worked in the technology sector since 2011. Dan began their career as the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Under Development Office, a full stack development company specializing in mobile solutions. In 2014, they became the Mobile Development Director for NewTribeAgency Mobile and Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of BrightLife. In 2016, they co-founded Acquainted.io and in 2017 they co-founded Aurus - Tokenized Gold. In 2018, they became Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Earn.re, a blockchain based platform facilitating SEC compliant funding of commercial real estate projects. In 2020, they became Technical Lead of Dime.ly, a privacy-first platform that enables the automatic collection of data from the user's daily digital behavior and the monetization of this data. Most recently, in 2021, they became Blockchain Lead of Zitec, a company they founded back in 2011 that offered development services in mobile and web technologies but that also specialized in blockchain and other niche advanced technologies.

Dan Cearnau has an extensive educational background. Dan attended "Tudor Vianu" National College of Computer Science from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a High School degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Dan then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Universitatea Româno-Americă din București, which they completed in 2013. Afterward, they earned a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems, General from the same school in 2016. Most recently, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Information Technology from Academia de Studii Economice din București in 2021.
