Olivia Mathiesen is an Environmental Scientist at EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC, since December 2021. Previously, Olivia served as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Michigan Geomicrobiology Laboratory from January 2020 to February 2022, where notable contributions included utilizing advanced genomic tools to analyze biosynthetic gene clusters and presenting findings in an honors thesis. Olivia's research experience also encompasses work at the Aquatic Geochemistry Laboratory, focusing on water sample analysis, and as a Hydrologic Field Assistant with the U.S. Geological Survey, contributing to ecological studies in Nevada. Early career experience includes a billing role at Cardinal Paint and Powder, demonstrating strong organizational skills. Olivia holds a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Environmental Sciences from the University of Michigan, earned in 2021.
