John Coles has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. John began their career in 2000 at Quintiles as a Programmer and eventually took on the role of Senior Software Developer/Business Analyst. During this time, they focused on compliance, validation, and automation of business processes. John also worked as a Programmer Analyst, leading programming resources for concurrent clinical trials.
In 2005, John joined PPD, where they served as a SAS Programmer and Senior Technical Operations Analyst. John designed clinical applications, managed specialization teams, and validated best practices.
From 2012 to 2014, John worked at inVentiv Health Clinical as a Senior Clinical Data Programmer, focusing on mapping clinical datasets and conducting trainings on data management systems.
In 2013, John joined e-MDs as a Senior Integration Engineer, where they developed customized software tools and scripts for healthcare data integration and ensured regulatory compliance.
In 2015, John worked as a Clinical Systems Designer at PRA Health Sciences, where they designed and implemented software applications for clinical trial study protocols. John also presented comprehensive data capture solutions to clients.
John then transitioned to roles at Cornerstone Design and Development, Inc as a .NET Developer, and at the U.S. Census Bureau as an Enumerator, where they performed in-person data collection.
Most recently, in 2020, John worked as a Technical Sales Consultant at TAILORED ROOFING AND REMODELING, LLC, providing technical and product support for sales managers and maintaining iPad-based sales applications.
In 2022, John joined e4 as a Project Specialist, focusing on MPI implementation.
John Coles obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Social Sciences from Emporia State University, where they studied from 1991 to 1996. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including the SAS Certified Professional: Data Curation for SAS Data Scientists from SAS in October 2021, the SAS Certified Clinical Trials Programmer Using SAS 9 from SAS in August 2021, the SAS Certified Specialist: Base Programming Using SAS 9.4 from SAS in June 2021, the Statistics 1: Introduction to ANOVA, Regression, and Logistic Regression from SAS in June 2021, the SAS Certification Review: SAS 9.4 Base Programming Performance-Based Exam from SAS in May 2021, the SAS Programming 1: Essentials from SAS in May 2021, the SAS Programming 2: Data Manipulation Techniques from SAS in May 2021, the Applied Data Science Certificate from EMERITUS Institute of Management in November 2018, the Hootsuite Platform Certification from Hootsuite in February 2018, the CompTIA Project+ Certification from CompTIA in July 2004, and the Advanced Google Analytics from Google Analytics Academy in March 2021.
