Ioannis Ladas serves as a Professor of Ophthalmology at A' Eye Clinic of Medical School of National & Kapodistrian Athens University since September 2011, with previous leadership as Chair and Director of the Clinic from 2010 to 2013 and a longstanding role as Director of the Medical Retina Service since 1989. In addition, Ioannis Ladas operates a private practice as an ophthalmologist specializing in medical retina and macular diseases since January 1990, providing advanced diagnostic and treatment options including fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography, optical coherence tomography, laser photocoagulation, and intravitreal anti-VEGF injections. This extensive experience is complemented by a research and clinical fellowship in medical retina and macular diseases from the Retina Service of Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York and a series of prestigious degrees from National & Kapodistrian Athens University, culminating in a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
