Jian Song is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in robotics and embedded systems. As a Senior Robotics Software Engineering Manager at Dyson since October 2019, Jian has led the Intelligent Machine - Platform Software Team, focusing on the development of vacuum cleaning robots, with expertise in robot path planning and locomotion. Prior to Dyson, Jian held positions at Intel Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer, Gemalto as a Software Engineer, and Hi-P as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Bluetooth accessory development. Jian's early career included roles at Venture Corporation Limited as an Embedded Software Engineer, as a self-employed Software Engineer, and at VMware developing storage features for virtualization products, along with experience in Linux driver development at VIA Technologies. Jian holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology.
