Kun Tan's work experience includes working as a Senior Engineer at Dynex Semiconductor Ltd since January 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Leicester from April 2018 to December 2018. They also had experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Leicester from September 2016 to August 2017.

Kun Tan completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Power Electronics from the University of Leicester in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical Power from Newcastle University in 2015. In 2014, Kun Tan received their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Leicester.
