Glenn Schatz is an experienced energy trader with a robust background in power markets. Currently serving as an Energy Trader at Dynasty Power since April 2021, Glenn specializes in trading California power, including short-term financials and CRRs. Prior roles include energy trading at Direct Energy, where responsibilities encompassed managing a $1M annual PnL and hedging activities for AESO and IESO retail positions. Glenn's experience also includes roles as a Power Market Analyst at PBS Systems Inc. and an Energy Trader at TransAlta, where scheduling of energy across the NE US and Canada was a key responsibility. Further experience encompasses real-time compliance monitoring, workforce planning analysis at SaskTel, and investigative analysis for environmental assessments with the Government of Saskatchewan. Glenn holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Economics from the University of Regina and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Alberta.
