Marion Depla has an extensive work experience in the biotechnology and immunotherapeutic industries. Marion began their career in 2008 as a Junior Research Scientist in Virology (PhD) at Université François Rabelais, Tours (France). During this role, they developed strong expertise in Cellular and Molecular Biology, Virology (HCV). Marion was also the principal investigator of a clinical study on viro-induced steatosis in chronically HCV-infected patients. In 2012, they became a Research Scientist in Immunology (Post Doctoral Fellow) at CRCHUM. In 2016, they joined Altimmune, Inc. as a Preclinical Research Scientist Onco-Immunology, where they designed, managed, and implemented preclinical immuno-pharmacology assessments of novel immunotherapeutic product candidates in murine models. In 2017, they joined Dynacure as a Quality Lead and Senior Research Scientist. In this role, they were responsible for Dynacure's first drug discovery program, which was focused on Centronuclear Myopathies (CNM).
Marion Depla obtained a Master's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a focus on Genetics from Pierre and Marie Curie University between 2002 and 2007. In addition, they obtained a FELASA 1 - Expérimentation animale de niveau concepteur certification from Université de Strasbourg in June 2017, a BPL: Les Bonnes Pratiques de Laboratoire certification from CNFCE in November 2016, an Introduction to statistics with R software certification from Paris-Sud University in March 2017, and a MOOC Gestion de Projet - 7ème édition certification from École Centrale de Lille in March 2016.
