Esther Huitink has been working in the medical field since 2005. Esther started their career at Erasmus MC as a Data Manager/Study Coordinator. In 2005, they also began working at Genzyme Europe BV as a Freelance Clinical Site Manager, Clinical Project Manager, and Clinical Research Associate, where they monitored Phase II, III, and IV studies in Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and UK, as well as co-monitoring in France and Italy. In 2011, Esther began working as a Freelance Clinical Study Manager at Danone Research. Esther then worked as a Freelance Clinical Research Associate at Quintiles in 2012, and a Freelance Clinical Study Manager at Danone Nutricia Research in 2013. In 2014, they began working as a Freelance Clinical Trial Manager at uniQure. From 2017 to 2020, Esther worked as a Freelance Clinical Trial Manager at Dynacure. Currently, Esther works as the Owner of ClinCon.

Esther Huitink received their VWO from Christelijk Gymnasium Utrecht in 1993. Esther then went on to pursue an Msc in Medical Biology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 1993 to 1998. Finally, Esther completed their PhD in Genetics and Neurology from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in 2003.
