Penny Guthrie has extensive experience in the dining and real estate sectors, serving at SONIC Drive-In since July 1984 in various capacities including Franchise Advisory Council positions and Chairman of the Operations Committee. As CEO of D&B Properties, Inc., since 1994, Penny oversees franchise operations and real estate development for SONIC Drive-Ins. In addition, involvement with the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce includes roles as Vice Chair of the Retail Development Committee and Executive Board Member. Other contributions span business consulting and advisory positions at organizations such as Dyersburg State Community College and First South Bank, highlighting a commitment to community and economic development. Recognition includes the 2017 Large Business of the Year award. Education was obtained from Missouri Southern State University.
