Matthew Williams MESci GradCIWEM is a Water Resources Scientist at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water since October 2023. Previously, Matthew held the positions of Assistant Engineer and Technical Assistant at YGC from November 2020 to October 2023, focusing on flood and coastal erosion risk management, involving tasks like flood auditing, GIS work, and public consultation. Earlier roles include Temporary Assistant Ecologist at Eco-Scope Ltd, Intern at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, Park Ranger at Snowdonia National Park, and Legislative Liaison for the Welsh Government. Matthew's early career included an Engineering Internship at First Hydro and acting in the Welsh soap opera 'Rownd a Rownd.' Matthew earned a Master of Earth Science with a focus on Environmental Science from Cardiff University, motivated by a passion for climate change, water resource management, and environmental protection.
