Yishai Shimoni is a manager at IBM since October 2015, focusing on machine learning applications in healthcare and life sciences. Prior experience includes roles as a research scientist developing machine learning methods for healthcare decisions, an adjunct lecturer at Bar-Ilan University, and an associate research scientist at Columbia University Medical Center, where methods for analyzing sequencing data were created. Earlier positions involved post-doctoral fellowships in computational biology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Yishai Shimoni’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Physics specializing in Quantum Computation, with additional degrees in Physics and Computer Science.
