Jason Paragas has a diverse and impressive work experience. Jason is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of DVLP Medicines, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Venture Partner and Advisor at Social Impact Capital, starting in April 2021 and April 2020 respectively.
In 2021, Jason founded SaponiQx, where they served as the Startup President and Founder from September 2021 to March 2022. From December 2020 to March 2022, they worked at Agenus as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Growth Exploration.
Before that, Jason held the role of Vice President of External Innovation at Valo from April 2019 to November 2020. Jason also has experience working at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, serving as the Director of Innovation from October 2014 to April 2019. Prior to that, they held various positions at the laboratory, including Deputy Director of the Office of Mission Innovation and Deputy Program Director for Bio-Security.
Earlier in their career, Jason worked at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) as the Associate Director for Science at the Integrated Research Facility from October 2006 to October 2012. Jason also worked at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases as a Principal Investigator and National Research Council Fellow from June 2003 to October 2006 and from July 2001 to June 2003 respectively.
Jason Paragas completed their PhD in Microbiology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from 1995 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended the University of Chicago from 1989 to 1993, but no degree or field of study information is available.
