Chris Zane has a strong background in finance and has gained extensive experience in various roles in the energy industry. Chris started their career as a Venture Associate at G51 Venture Scholars in 2008 before moving on to DCP Midstream, where they served as a Financial Analyst, Senior Financial Analyst, and Management Associate between 2009 and 2013. At KPMG US, Chris worked as a Senior Consultant, providing strategic opportunities, due diligence, deal structuring, and M&A support for clients. In 2015, they joined NorthStar Midstream as the Director of Planning and Analysis, overseeing deal support, valuation, and strategic analysis for acquisitions and divestitures. Chris then joined EY as a Manager in 2017, where they gained experience in financial management and consulting before becoming the Vice President of Finance at Durango Midstream LLC later that year. At Durango Midstream, they negotiated debt facilities, built an accounting/finance team, and led M&A modeling and due diligence for acquisitions. In addition to their industry roles, Chris is also an Adjunct Lecturer at Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business since 2019.
