Yanira Wells has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Yanira began their career in 1996 with an internship at the U.S. Department of Energy, where they focused on physical characterization and modeling of superconductors. From 1997 to 2009, they worked at Procter & Gamble in various roles, including R&D Automatic Dishwashing and R&D Hand Dish Technology, where they developed new products and conducted consumer research in Latin America. In 2010, they became the Snacks R&D Section Head at Procter & Gamble, responsible for delivering business contributions and developing innovation strategies. In 2012, they briefly worked at Kellogg Company as the Pringles Research Quality & Technology Section Head. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Procter & Gamble again, this time in R&D Global Product Development and R&D Pet Care Global Design & Delivery for dog and cat products. In 2016, they joined Duracell Inc. as the R&D Latin America Franchise, leading product development in the region. Yanira later worked as the R&D Director for Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East before being promoted to Senior Director R&D Global B2B | OEM | Asia Retail. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President R&D at Duracell Inc., where they lead innovation strategy and product development across B2C and B2B markets.
Yanira Wells obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from Universidad de Puerto Rico, which they completed from 1992 to 1996. Yanira then pursued studies in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Cincinnati from 1997 to 2001, although the specific degree earned is not mentioned. In 2019, Yanira participated in the Executive Leadership Program at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, focusing on Business Administration and Management.
