David Hughes possesses extensive experience in business development, marketing, and management within the chemical and specialty materials industries. Currently serving as Business Development for NYC at Dur-A-Flex, Inc. since October 2019, David previously held the position of VP of Marketing, Research and Development, and Procurement at the same company from October 2011 to April 2019. Prior to Dur-A-Flex, David held leadership roles at BASF as Business Director for Pigments for Printing and Specialties in North America and at Ciba Specialty Chemicals, where responsibilities included VP of the Americas Business Line for Adhesives and VP of Purchasing. David's career began at Ciba, where David was the Global Head of Business Development for Process and Lubricant Additives. David holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bath, earned between 1981 and 1985.
