Stefan Schmatloch currently serves as the Head of Technology for adhesives and the Head of Technical Service & Development for Europe at DuPont, a position held since April 2019. Prior to this, Stefan was a Lead R&D Manager at The Dow Chemical Company, where responsibilities included overseeing the EMEAI Technical Service and Development Department for automotive adhesives. Achievements at Dow include receiving the Meyer Galow Award for Chemistry in 2015 and a nomination for the DOW Olympus Award for Superior People Leadership in the same year. Stefan's professional journey includes roles as an R&D Manager and Technical Services Manager at Dow, as well as Program Manager at the Dutch Polymer Institute, where public-private research collaborations were spearheaded. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Regensburg, a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Strathclyde, and various executive education programs at IMD and The Wharton School, focusing on finance and leadership.
