Catherine Berning, Ed.D., is an experienced educational consultant and former superintendent with a robust background in curriculum development and leadership. Currently serving at the DuPage Regional Office of Education since July 2013, Berning also previously held roles as an associate at Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates and as superintendent at Maercker Elementary School District 60, overseeing operations for approximately 1300 students. Earlier experience includes serving as assistant superintendent for instruction at Lombard Elementary District 44 and middle school principal in a large school environment. Berning holds an Ed.D. in Superintendency and Educational System Administration from Roosevelt University and a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
