Krishna Chittur has work experience in the field of software engineering and data science. They started their career as a Software Engineer Intern at SparkCognition in 2018, where they worked on projects related to information retrieval and clustering. They then interned as a Data Science Intern at SparkCognition in 2019, focusing on hyperparameter optimization and overhauling the testing system. In 2021, they interned as a Software Engineer Intern at Duolingo, where they worked on overhauling the user messaging system. Currently, Krishna is working as a Software Engineer at Duolingo, specifically on the learning infrastructure team, where they are responsible for the backend development using Python, Java/Kotlin, and Scala.

Krishna Chittur completed a Master's degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University from 2020 to 2021. Prior to this, from 2016 to 2020, they obtained a Bachelor's degree with High Honors in Computer Science and Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin.
