Willow Kaplan is a dedicated student at Duke University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies. Currently involved in the Mayor's Internship Program in the Office for People with Disabilities in Philadelphia, Willow develops a comprehensive guide for parental leave and assists city managers with various tasks. As a research assistant for the Democracy and Higher Education Project, Willow creates content for a nationwide newsletter and summarizes publications on democracy. Leadership roles include co-chairing the Sexual Harassment and Assault Prevention and Education Policy Committee and chairing the VisArts Committee at Duke University Union, focusing on gender violence prevention and student programming. Previous experiences include judicial interning at the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, consulting for AEquitas on gender-based violence and human trafficking, and conducting DEI research at WatchBox. Additionally, as a daycare provider, Willow demonstrates a strong commitment to community service.
