Barry Koplowitz

Senior Scientist, Pharmacokinetics at Duck Flats Pharma

Barry Koplowitz has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years. Barry began their career in 1986 as a Research Pharmacist at Hoechst-Celanese Pharmaceuticals. In 2001, they joined Bristol-Myers-Squibb as a Research Scientist II, where they represented the Pharmacokinetics and Metabolism Discovery Department at DWG meetings for drug discovery programs, performed in vitro metabolism studies, Caco-2 permeability experiments, and microsomal incubation studies, and reported findings to DWG. In 2005, they were promoted to Research Investigator 1 at Bristol-Myers-Squibb, where they were also a Pharmacokinetic-Knowledge Center member and an in-house expert in the area of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and scaling for First-time-in-man studies. In 2006, they joined DUCK Flats Pharma LLC as a Senior Scientist, Pharmacokinetics.

Barry Koplowitz received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from Lehman College in 1976. Barry then attended Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, where they received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy in 1979. In 1986, they graduated from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy with a Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
