Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mohammad Ali Rashed currently holds the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Chambers since 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Economic Development, Government of Dubai. Mohammad Ali Rashed held this position from 2016 to 2022. In addition, they have held various leadership roles at the Department of Economic Development, including Executive Director - Commercial Compliance & Consumer Protection, Deputy CEO - Dubai Exports, Deputy CEO, Commercial Compliance & Consumer Protection, and Executive Director Corporate Quality & Excellence. Before working at the Department of Economic Development, Lootah served in the UAE Federal Government as a member of the Competition Regulation Committee and the Higher Committee for Consumer Protection. Furthermore, they served as the Chairman of the Intellectual Property Advisory Board, where they contributed to improving UAE/Dubai's Intellectual Property Rights global competitiveness ranking and conducted research in the field of Intellectual Property Rights. Prior to these roles, Lootah was the Deputy Director of Information Technology at Dubai Land Department.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah has a diverse education history. Mohammad Ali Rashed completed an Executive MBA in Strategic Management from the Higher Colleges of Technology in 2011-2012. Prior to that, it is indicated that they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Systems from Arizona State University. In terms of executive education, they attended various programs in 2020, including Strategic Leadership at IMD, Disruptive Leadership at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and Empowering Leadership at Imperial College London. In 2017, they also completed an Executive Education program on Public Policy Expertise at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
