Elisa Palacios has worked at a variety of companies since 2014. Elisa began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where they genotyped for the haplotype associated with Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD) in canines. Elisa then worked as a Research and Field Work Intern at the University of California, Davis, assisting a doctoral student from the Grosholz Laboratory on their Blue Carbon research project and a doctoral student from the Patricelli Laboratory in the Department of Evolution and Ecology at UC Davis on a project focused on observing the effects of anthropogenic sound on Tree Swallow behavior. In 2018, Elisa worked as a Research Technician II at Genentech, responsible for generating, maintaining, managing, and breeding rodent models for medical and pharmaceutical research. Elisa also worked as a Pet Care Professional at Rover.com, performing routine walking, boarding, grooming, feeding/watering, and med administration to dogs. Elisa then worked as a Research Associate I and II at Vividion Therapeutics. Inc., executing in vivo assays to assess PK/PD/TE properties and efficacy of novel small molecules in murine oncology and inflammation models. Most recently, Elisa has been a Senior Research Associate at DTx Pharma and a Research Associate II at Rakuten Medical, where they execute immuno-oncology and immunology in vivo assays testing anti-cancer efficacy of novel conjugates and molecules in combination with photoimmunotherapy (PIT).
Elisa Palacios obtained their High School Diploma from Bonita Vista Senior High School in 2013. Elisa then attended the University of California, Davis, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences in 2018. During their time at UC Davis, Elisa also participated in the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) at The University of Edinburgh in 2015.
