Sherry Chung has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Sherry started their career as a Research Assistant at National Taiwan University in 2009 and later moved on to become a Research Assistant at Academia Sinica, Taiwan from 2010 to 2012. In 2013, they joined Yourgene Bioscience as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist and eventually became the Division Chief. In 2017, they founded their own company called DT42. Most recently, they worked as a Business Development Representative at Numbers Protocol starting in 2019.

Sherry Chung earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Botany/Life Science from National Taiwan University from 2001 to 2005. Sherry then pursued their Master's degree in Genetics at National Yang Ming University from 2005 to 2008.
