Kjeld Kjeldsen is an experienced professional in plant operations and research, currently serving as Site Director and COO at dsm-firmenich since January 2016, overseeing 24/7 operations for Human Milk Oligosaccharide production. Prior to this role, Kjeldsen was the Chief Operating Officer at Vitalys I/S from January 2009 to January 2016, where responsibilities included managing daily plant operations and driving continuous improvement in performance. Kjeldsen also held positions as Lab Manager and Research Scientist at Vitalys I/S and Agro&Ferm A/S, respectively, focusing on fermentation trials and method development. Educationally, Kjeldsen completed a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the Technical University of Denmark, having previously studied at Den Kgl. Veterinær- og Landbohøjskole.
